Limo + Christmas Lights + Friends = Fun

Kelly surprised McKenzi with a limo to take her and her friends around town to look at Christmas lights. Jay, the chauffeur, drove the girls around OKC and to Yukon to view all the spectacular lights in the area. Chesapeake's campus was one of the favorite sites on the tour. The girls had a great time!

'Tis Almost the Season

McKenzi, my mom, and I spent the week getting our house ready for the holidays. I believe this is the earliest in my entire life that I have had my Christmas decorations up and ready to go. My favorite decoration is the front door wreath and swags that we replicated from a picture in the Pottery Barn catalog. I actually think mine looks even better than Pottery Barn's. My mom is so crafty. I'm not sure why I didn't get any of her talent!

Albany Lions 1960 State Champs

My dad, along with other members of the 1960 State Football Championship team, were honored at the Albany homecoming last weekend. We enjoyed watching mom and dad reminisce about the good ol' days and share a few laughs with high school friends. McKenzi especially enjoyed hanging out with all the old folks! Albany, Texas is always such a neat place to visit with its unique charm.

Birthday Boy!

Kelly celebrated his 29th birthday today. For his birthday, he wanted this 'toy'. I went to a hobby shop in Dallas to pick it up after a friend of Kelly's had it built for me. I've never been in a toy shop like that before; there were toys for the young and old alike. I'm sure I could have found a lot more fun stuff for the 'big kid' if I would have had time to look around. Anyways, he's enjoying driving the remote control car through the neighborhood and across the golf course. I'm sure the greens keeper is loving it, too!

First Day of School

McKenzi's first day of school for 8th grade.

Where did time go? Wasn't it just yesterday I dropped her off at Mrs. Pettit's Kindergarten class?

Happy Trails to You

Wilson Creek Trail has been a wonderful place to live for the past year and a half.

We will truly miss the friends we made there. They were so sweet to have a going away party for us and sent us on our way in tears.

Lori, Rick, Tag & Maks...you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Though it was only for a short time as neighbors, our friendship will be for a lifetime. As I know God always has a plan, I believe it was His plan to put you right next door to us! (Proverbs 19:21)
Thanks for everything.

Good-bye 7th grade

McKenzi and I hosted an end of school pool party for her 7th grade friends. The weather was perfect and it seemed everyone had a great time. Couldn't have asked for a better group of girls or a better day. Look out 8th grade, here they come!

Edgey the Eagle

We are the proud parents of Edgey the Eagle. McKenzi tried out for mascot at school last week and made it. She will be the first mascot for Reynolds Middle School which opens next year. She did a great job, and we were very proud of her. A big thanks goes out to Terrye and Whitney Smith for their help in putting together her tryout routine.

Back in the Saddle Again

After a month of rehabilitation from a terrible crash, McKenzi hopped back on her Honda at Oak Hill MX and did an awesome job. She placed in the top five in both her new classes, but I think she earned first place for the best dressed rider on the track! Remember girl, it's not how well you ride the bike but how well you look when you're riding it! LOL

Sellers and Supercross

We were so happy that the Sellers could come visit us during Spring Break. We enjoyed our time together and I think everyone especially enjoyed going to the new Cowboy's stadium to watch the AMA Supercross. Hope they come for another visit soon.
